In this workshop, Teresa Wong invites us to draw a comic about a movie we love. You will need paper, something to draw with, and something to color with if you’d like. Watch the video of the live stream and follow the steps below.

Pick a movie you’d like to draw in four panels. In the first panel, pick a scene early in the movie that introduces the action of the movie.

In the second panel, draw something from the “rising action” of the film. Consider something that is iconic about the movie.

In the third panel, think of a scene from the second half of the movie. Consider a complicating scene, something that makes the action move forward and draws towards the end.

For the final panel, pick a scene that sums up your comic. You can choose the final scene in the movie, or a climactic scene before the very end.
