Gish Jen

Gish Jen’s short stories have been included five times in The Best American Short Stories, including in The Best American Short Stories of the Century. A fellow of both the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, she has been the recipient of a Lannan Literary Award as well as a Mildred and Harold Strauss Living Award. She has also been awarded National Endowment for the Arts, Fulbright, Guggenheim, and Radcliffe Fellowships. Her work has appeared in The New YorkerThe Atlantic Monthly, and The New York Times. Her most recent book is a collection of stories titled Thank You, Mr. Nixon, and she has a new novel coming out in October, titled Bad Bad Girl (Knopf).
